Recipe for Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Bars

Protein bars made with chocolate peanut butter are not only simple to prepare in a small quantity, but they are also really tasty. The secret is to choose a high-quality protein powder. In the event that there is a drawback, it may be the difficulty of consuming just one or two of them.

  • Half a cup of protein powder with vanilla

  • Two teaspoons of all-natural maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon of essence of vanilla bean

  • 1/8 of a teaspoon of salt

  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil

  • Place chocolate chips and oil in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir. Repeat until chips are fully melted when swirled. Pour over bars, smooth chocolate. Refrigerate until solid, approximately 30 minutes. Cut into 8 bars.

Here’s what you need:

Peanut Butter

  • Feel free to swap in any nut butter you choose or sunflower seed butter for nut-free!

Protein Powder

  • I use Sprout Living Vanilla protein powder (discount code: callascleaneats). I adore this protein powder since there are no odd ingredients or preservatives, it’s organic, and they utilize vanilla extract instead of “natural vanilla flavor”

Maple Syrup

  • This is absolutely optional but I love the texture that this provides and I also enjoy the added touch of sweetness and maple taste!

Chocolate Chips

  • I always search for a preservative/emulsifer-free brand. I just discovered the organic brand Good and Gather from Target and they are delicous and a fantastic price for the quality

Sea Salt

How To Make Protein Bars

Peanut Butter Protein Bar Recipe

  • Start by blending almond flour, protein powder, maple syrup, cinnamon and sea salt.

  • Add in creamy peanut butter and whisk to blend. You may want to use your hands here to get everything properly blended. If it is still crumby, you may wish to add extra maple syrup.

  • Add in small chocolate chips and blend again.

  • In a parchment paper lined 8×8 dish, add mix. Firmly push down to cover the bottom of the dish.

  • Place in the freezer for an hour.

  • Mix chocolate with coconut oil to melt. Pour on top of dish. Add sea salt flakes.

  • Place in the freezer for 3-4 hours before cutting.

How To Store Your Protein Bars

  • It’s recommended to keep your protein bars in the freezer! I prefer to keep them in these reusable bags. They will soften if in the fridge, so they are best to consume directly out of the freezer.
